Sierra Jensen book series

Hello all! For the last few months, I have been reading snatches of the Sierra Jensen books I own whenever I have a chance to read (which is not often). Now that I am finishing the last of the books I own (which I have already read at least once), I thought it was time that I do a book review on this series.

In the world of YA fiction today, there are a lot of books that have inappropriate material in them, so I always love to come across a YA book or series where this is not the case.

I have to admit that I'm the type of person, who dislikes the absolutely wholesome books. As a little girl, I always shunned the stories where "the good little girl goes with Mummy to grocery store". That's why I prefer reading something YA to a classic (but don't get me wrong, I do like classics...but I am probably confusing y'all, so I'll be quiet). On the other hand, I don't want something pornographic or main characters who are kissing every few paragraphs.

The Sierra Jensen series by Robin Jones Gunn is a good example of the series I like - YA, with a slight touch of romance, Christian, enjoyable to read, and appropriate. It is a companion series to the Christy Miller series, written by the same author.

Sierra is about my age (sixteen) and I find a lot to relate with her, which makes me like her stories so much. For one thing, she is young and doesn't know much about love, but she learns more as she matures throughout the series. She also has a quick temper and doesn't think before she acts, yet she is sorry when she makes mistakes and loves God.

I have read Books #1-6, and #10 of the twelve books in this series. Here is a link to a website where you can read a mini summary of each book: http://bookplus.tripod.com/pages/sierrajensen.htm
