Pride & Prejudice Book Review

“It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.”

This was the first Jane Austen book I had ever read, and since I have read one other Austen novel, I can say that P&P is the best Austen I have read so far. :) The story is full of humour, wittiness, and is all in all a very good romance. It's nice to read something dealing with the topic of romance that isn't so trashy like almost all romances nowadays.

The characters are believable and all have their own little quirks. For example, Elizabeth Bennet, the heroine of the novel, is described as more sensible than all her other sisters by her father, yet she too has her fault (making her human) - the prejudice in the title is linked to her.

Alyianna's rating: 9 out 10
